A mental health check-in made for moms. You don’t have to be perfectly put together. You don’t have to remember everything we talk about (I’ll send you a summary when we’re done). You can bring your baby. You just have to show up for yourself.
Mental Health Assessment and Consultation for Pregnancy and Postpartum
Pregnancy and postpartum can be some of the most wonderful times of your life. They can also be the most challenging, exhausting, traumatic, and emotional. Whether you’re considering growing your family, are currently pregnant, or are in the trenches of new parenthood, a perinatal mental health assessment and consultation with me can help you check in with yourself, find clarity, and map out clear next steps for support.
A mental health assessment and consultation session with me is a one-time, one to two hour long conversation where we will dig into your history, how you’re doing now, your strengths and concerns, and how you can move forward to be the best parent, partner (if applicable), and version of you possible during this tender life transition and beyond.
At the end of our session together, we’ll talk about what came up during the assessment, and I’ll give you recommendations tailored to your specific needs. You’ll leave with a starting point, and I’ll follow up within 1-2 days with an email summary and guide listing personalized resources, recommendations, and referrals based on your experience and needs. This might include beginning or continuing therapy, strengthening your support system, connecting with community resources, strengthening your partnership, looking into movement or bodywork, and more. I have a multitude of trusted referral partners I can connect you with depending on your wants and needs.
While I don’t diagnose perinatal mood and anxiety disorders as a part of every consult, if requested, I can provide a written diagnostic report for your own personal use, for collaboration/sharing with another provider, and/or to enable me to provide you with a superbill to submit this assessment appointment to insurance for out of network benefits. This service is fully self-pay and I do not work directly with insurance - any use of your out of network benefits is your responsibility and is between you and your insurance company. Payment is due at the time of the appointment.
Mental health services are available in-office only in either my Wilmington or Cincinnati office.
Rates:
Assessment and Consultation/Referrals only - $250
Assessment and Consultation + Diagnostic Writeup - $325
Ongoing Mental Health Support
I generally provide referrals to trusted providers based on your needs, payment preferences, insurance, location, etc., but I do reserve time in my schedule to see a small caseload of ongoing therapy clients. If you are interested in ongoing mental health counseling with me, we can discuss this during an assessment or you can reach out to see if I have current openings.
Therapy sessions with me are 50 minutes long. I can see clients in my offices in Wilmington and Cincinnati, or via telehealth for anyone located in the state of Ohio. I work with perinatal clients on topics such as adjusting to pregnancy and postpartum, perinatal and postpartum depression and anxiety, OCD, pregnancy and infant loss, infertility, termination, support for neurodivergent parents, birth and/or medical trauma, parenting while chronically ill, and other issues. My specialization in perinatal mental health (PMH-C) provides me with a foundation for working with perinatal clients and the issues you might be facing, and additionally I am committed to ongoing training and education on perinatal treatment modalities and issues to best support you.
My practice is self-pay only, though I am able to provide a superbill if requested. My rate for ongoing therapy is $175 per session.
