Your specialist for all things breastfeeding and perinatal mental health! I have a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in the state of Ohio, have a Perinatal Mental Health Certification, and I am a Certified Breastfeeding Counselor working toward becoming an IBCLC.

When to Contact an IBCLC Instead

  • You or your baby have more complex medical needs requiring extra monitoring and support

  • Cracked, bleeding nipples and/or severe nipple pain

  • Concerns with baby’s weight gain

  • Concerns about oral restrictions/ties

  • Support for medical equipment such as using an SNS or nipple shield support

  • Concerns about medical needs such as thrush, mastitis

  • Bottle refusal and more advance bottle feeding needs/support

  • Managing low milk supply or oversupply

  • Relactation and inducing lactation
